Words instead of syllables
What was I thinking?
Thought I’d done it wrong
every week prior to that
I checked. Guess not. Doh!
Got it right this time
(and every time from now on!)
Gain back some respect
~~~~~~~
LOVING this weather!
Kids can be outside all day
Windows are open
Don’t want to come in
Not even for lunch – let’s have
a picnic outside!
Can we, Mom? Can we?
Grab the tablecloth and drinks
I’ll bring out the food
Sandwich, mac and cheese,
green beans and gummies, yum yum!
What could be better?
This is SO fun, Mom!
Can we do this EVERY day?
We’ll see, we’ll see….*sigh*
What? “*sigh*” is TOTALLY a syllable.
See what I set myself up for? Now the kids’ll want to do this every day. Oh boy.
Though it WAS fun. Just a lot of extra work. And of course, the kids are in/out/in/out/in/out.
Ah, summer break.
Haven’t you heard? No good deed goes unpunished!
What a great memory for them. What a good mom. I loved your haiku too. Have a good weekend.
Don’t you just love summer? It is seriously the best time of year.
Great pics!
Looks like lots of fun! We may have to picnic today! : )
Fun mommy! We had a breakfast picnic the other day in the backyard and the kids thought it was the coolest thing ever. It’s great to do fun stuff, and then what…. :-0
Great haikus!!! It sounds like you’re starting off the summer wonderfully. I think if you have a picnic everyday, it won’t be as special though. ;P
gorgeous photos! I’ve done the words instead of syllables thing before haha.
You are able to leave your windows open? Wow. It’s WAY too hot for us not to even consider it. And, we’re nearly so hot we don’t even venture out at all!
Aw, looks like fun times in the summer time.
I loved your haiku last week and was clearly oblivious about the syllable thing…
